All reservations are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.

• A provisional booking may be held without payment for a limited period, subject to availability. The applicable time limit will depend on the number of days remaining before the guest’s arrival.
• For bookings made more than 90 days before arrival, rooms may be held provisionally for up to 15 calendar days.
• For bookings made between 31 and 90 days before arrival, rooms may be held for up to 7 calendar days.
• For bookings made between 15 and 30 days before arrival, rooms may be held for 3 to 5 calendar days, depending on occupancy and demand.
• For bookings made 14 days or less before arrival, confirmation and payment may be required within 24 to 48 hours. For last-minute reservations, immediate payment may be required.
• For bookings involving four or more rooms, high-demand dates, public holidays, peak seasons, or special promotional rates, Kuyana Amazon Lodge may establish a shorter time limit, regardless of how far in advance the booking is requested.
• An extension may be requested before the original deadline expires. In exceptional cases, provisional bookings may be extended for a maximum accumulated period of 30 calendar days, subject to availability, occupancy levels, and written approval from Kuyana Amazon Lodge.
• Extensions are not automatic and do not guarantee that the original rooms, rates, or services will remain available.
• If another confirmed request is received for the same dates while the booking remains provisional, Kuyana Amazon Lodge may ask the agency or guest to confirm the reservation within 24 to 48 hours. If confirmation and payment are not received within this period, the rooms may be released.
• Once the assigned time limit has expired, if the required payment or written confirmation has not been received, the rooms and services will be automatically released without further notice.
• A provisional booking does not constitute a confirmed reservation. The booking will only be considered confirmed once the required deposit has been received and Kuyana Amazon Lodge has issued a written confirmation.
• Any new request made after the rooms have been released will be treated as a new booking and will be subject to the availability and rates applicable at that time.

• A provisional booking will only become a confirmed reservation once 50% of the total booking amount has been received within the assigned time limit and Kuyana Amazon Lodge has issued a written confirmation.
• The remaining 50% balance must be paid no later than 30 calendar days before the guest’s arrival date.
• For reservations made 30 days or less before arrival, full payment is required at the time of confirmation.
• If the initial deposit is not received within the assigned time limit, the provisional booking and all reserved services may be automatically released without further notice.
• If the outstanding balance is not received by the established due date, Kuyana Amazon Lodge reserves the right to cancel the reservation and apply the corresponding cancellation conditions.
• Certain promotional rates, high-demand dates, public holidays, group reservations, or services provided by third parties may require different payment conditions or full payment at the time of booking. Any special conditions will be clearly indicated in the quotation or proforma invoice.
• All payments must be made in US dollars (USD). Payment instructions will be provided according to the guest’s or agency’s country and the selected payment method.
• All bank, intermediary bank, international transfer, currency-conversion, and processing charges must be covered by the sender. Kuyana Amazon Lodge must receive the full amount stated in the proforma invoice.
• Credit card payments may be subject to an additional processing fee, which will be disclosed before the payment is made.
• A payment will be considered completed only once the funds have been received and cleared in Kuyana Amazon Lodge’s account. A transfer receipt may be submitted for verification but does not, by itself, constitute confirmation of payment.
• After each payment is verified, Kuyana Amazon Lodge will issue the corresponding written confirmation or updated statement of account.
• Payments, cancellations, and modifications are subject to Kuyana Amazon Lodge’s applicable booking and cancellation policies.

• 30 calendar days or more before arrival: A full refund will be issued, less any non-refundable bank charges, credit card processing fees, currency-conversion costs, or third-party expenses already incurred.

• 15 to 29 calendar days before arrival: A cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the total reservation amount will apply.
• 14 calendar days or less before arrival: A cancellation fee equivalent to 100% of the total reservation amount will apply.
• No-shows and early departures: No refund will be provided. The full value of the confirmed reservation, including any pre-booked services, will be charged.
• The number of days will be calculated from the date on which Kuyana Amazon Lodge receives the written cancellation request to the confirmed check-in date, according to Ecuador local time.
• All cancellations must be submitted in writing by email or through the same channel used to make the reservation. A cancellation will only be considered valid once its receipt has been acknowledged in writing by Kuyana Amazon Lodge.
• Approved refunds will be returned through the original payment method whenever possible. Bank charges, credit card fees, exchange-rate differences, and intermediary fees are non-refundable.
• Refunds will be processed within 15 business days after approval. The time required for the funds to appear in the recipient’s account may vary depending on the bank or card provider.
• Date changes, reductions in the number of guests, number of rooms, nights, packages, or reserved services may be treated as partial cancellations and will be subject to the same cancellation periods and penalties.
• Promotional, non-refundable, holiday, peak-season, group, or exclusive-use reservations may have stricter cancellation conditions. These will be specified in the quotation or booking confirmation and will take precedence over the general policy.
• Services contracted through third-party suppliers—including private transportation, rafting, community visits, specialized guides, or other external activities—will be subject to the cancellation conditions of the corresponding provider. Any non-recoverable costs will be deducted from the refund.

• If a guest is unable to travel due to a medically documented illness, the amount paid will not be refunded. Instead, it will be retained as a credit that may be used to reschedule the stay within 12 months of the original check-in date.

• The guest must notify Kuyana Amazon Lodge in writing before the original check-in date and provide a valid medical certificate confirming the inability to travel.
• The medical credit may be used once, for the same guest or travel party, and the new dates will be subject to availability. Any change of guest must be approved in writing by Kuyana Amazon Lodge.
• If the new reservation has a higher rate, falls during a public holiday or high-demand period, or includes additional services, the guest must pay the corresponding difference. If the new reservation has a lower value, no cash refund or remaining credit will be issued.
• In circumstances beyond the reasonable control of either party—including natural disasters, official road closures that prevent access to the lodge, severe weather conditions, government restrictions, public health emergencies, civil disturbances, or other force majeure events—Kuyana Amazon Lodge will evaluate each situation individually.
• Whenever possible, the first option will be to reschedule the reservation. The amount paid may be retained as a credit valid for up to 12 months from the original check-in date, subject to availability and any applicable rate difference.
• A road closure or weather event will qualify under this policy only when it materially prevents access to Kuyana Amazon Lodge or makes the confirmed services unsafe or impossible to provide. Ordinary rain, travel delays, flight changes, personal itinerary disruptions, or a guest’s decision not to travel will remain subject to the standard cancellation policy.
• Refund requests related to force majeure will be reviewed individually. Any approved refund may exclude bank charges, credit card processing fees, exchange-rate differences, administrative costs, and amounts already paid to third-party suppliers.
• Services provided by external suppliers—including transportation, rafting, specialized guides, community visits, or other activities—will remain subject to each provider’s cancellation and refund conditions.
• Kuyana Amazon Lodge will not be responsible for additional expenses resulting from force majeure events, including alternative accommodation, transportation, flights, meals, or other personal travel arrangements.

• Rates are quoted in US dollars (USD) and are subject to change without prior notice until the required deposit has been received and the reservation has been confirmed in writing by Kuyana Amazon Lodge.

• Once a reservation has been confirmed, the agreed rate will be honored. However, changes to government taxes, mandatory fees, third-party services, or additional services requested after confirmation may result in an adjustment to the final amount.
• Public holidays, peak seasons, special events, promotional offers, group reservations, and exclusive-use bookings may be subject to specific rates, minimum-stay requirements, payment deadlines, and cancellation conditions. These will be detailed in the corresponding quotation or booking confirmation.
• Activity schedules, routes, duration, and order may be modified due to weather conditions, river levels, trail conditions, guide availability, operational requirements, or safety considerations.
• If a scheduled activity cannot be safely operated, Kuyana Amazon Lodge may offer a suitable alternative of similar value whenever possible. Changes made for safety or circumstances beyond the lodge’s control will not automatically entitle the guest to a refund.
• Wildlife sightings and specific natural conditions cannot be guaranteed, as all activities take place in a natural environment.
• Guests must inform Kuyana Amazon Lodge in advance of any allergies, dietary restrictions, medical conditions, mobility limitations, or other circumstances that may affect their stay or participation in activities.
• Outside food and beverages are not permitted within the lodge. This policy helps protect the facilities, local wildlife, and guest safety. Additional cleaning or management charges may apply if outside food or beverages are brought into or consumed within the property.
• Guests are responsible for any loss or damage caused to the lodge’s property, equipment, furniture, or facilities during their stay. The corresponding repair or replacement costs may be charged.
• Parents and accompanying adults are responsible for supervising minors at all times, particularly around the swimming pool, rivers, trails, balconies, and other natural areas.
• Kuyana Amazon Lodge reserves the right to suspend or restrict participation in an activity if a guest’s physical condition, behavior, equipment, or failure to follow safety instructions may place the guest, other participants, staff, or the environment at risk.
• Any changes, cancellations, or special requests must be submitted in writing and will only be valid once acknowledged by Kuyana Amazon Lodge.
• By paying the required deposit or confirming a reservation, the guest or contracting agency acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted Kuyana Amazon Lodge’s rates, payment terms, cancellation policy, and general booking conditions.
• When a reservation is made through a travel agency or tour operator, that company is responsible for communicating these terms and conditions to the final guests before confirming the booking.

Quito – Kuyana Amazon Lodge

• The private transfer rate between Quito and Kuyana Amazon Lodge is USD 130 per way for 1 to 3 passengers.
• For groups of more than 3 passengers, an additional charge of USD 40 per extra passenger, per way, applies.
• Guests may choose their preferred pick-up time.
• Pick-up or drop-off can be arranged at the guest’s hotel, Quito International Airport, or another previously agreed location within Quito.
• The estimated travel time is approximately 3.5 hours, depending on traffic, road, and weather conditions.

Baños – Kuyana Amazon Lodge

• The private transfer rate between Baños and Kuyana Amazon Lodge is USD 150 per way for 1 to 3 passengers.
• For groups of more than 3 passengers, an additional charge of USD 40 per extra passenger, per way, applies.
• Guests may choose their preferred pick-up time.
• Pick-up or drop-off can be arranged at the guest’s hotel or another previously agreed location within Baños.
• The estimated travel time is approximately 3.5 hours, depending on traffic, road, and weather conditions.

General Conditions

• The transfer service is private and must be booked in advance.
• All transfers are subject to vehicle and driver availability.
• The exact pick-up location, time, and passenger contact information must be confirmed in advance.
• Any additional stops or changes to the agreed route must be requested beforehand and may incur an additional charge.
• Waiting time is charged at USD 20 per hour.

The quickest and recommended route from Quito is through Tumbaco – Papallacta – Baeza – Cosanga – Archidona.

Upon reaching Archidona, you will see a gas station and a roundabout. Take the left road (Av. Rocafuerte) and continue towards the Central Park, where the church is located.

At the traffic light, turn left and continue straight for 10 minutes until you reach the San Pablo del Ushpayacu community. Proceed on the dirt road for approximately 8 more minutes (VIA AL PARA) until you reach Santo Domingo del Hollin community. Our sign is on the right side. Continue about 500 meters until you reach the parking area. Our hotel staff will be waiting to assist you with check-in and luggage.

Please note that there may be no internet connection in certain parts of the route, and Google Maps may lose signal once you reach the dirt road. Therefore, we recommend following the directions.
