Itinerary

DAY 1 – Arrival & Connection with the Forest

Dinner included

Your retreat begins with a warm welcome and a native beverage made from local fruits — a symbolic gesture of connection with the Amazon.
After a short introduction to Kuyana’s philosophy and your itinerary, settle into your cabin and let the sounds of the jungle guide you into presence.

Afternoon:
Walk the Guitarracocha Trail, a peaceful path inspired by a legend that tells of soft guitar sounds heard by the lagoon at night.
The route leads to Kuyana Island, surrounded by the lush forest and overlooking the Hollín River, one of the main tributaries of the Napo River. From the island’s viewpoint, admire the river’s power and the harmony of the surrounding landscape — a perfect place to slow down, breathe, and reconnect.
(Moderate difficulty: 2.5/5, approx. 1.5 hours total.)

Evening:
Enjoy a farm-to-table dinner, prepared with organic ingredients from our gardens and nearby communities.
Every flavor tells a story of the forest and its people — a gentle welcome to your journey of renewal.

DAY 2 – Yoga, Essential Oils & Ancestral Healing

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included

Morning:
Awaken to the chorus of birds and begin your day with yoga and meditation surrounded by the serenity of the rainforest.
Under the guidance of our instructor, you’ll flow through gentle stretches that release tension and invite calm, followed by a short mindfulness practice that aligns your inner rhythm with the forest’s.
Afterward, enjoy a nourishing breakfast accompanied by a natural detox juice.

Midday:
Visit Kuyana’s Essential Oils Project, where native plants are transformed into pure oils used for natural medicine and aromatherapy.
Learn about their healing properties and the ancestral wisdom behind their extraction — a living example of how science and tradition coexist in harmony.
The hike concludes with time to rest and refresh under our healing waterfall, a space of stillness and renewal.
(Moderate difficulty: 2.5/5, approx. 2.5 hours total.)

Afternoon:
After lunch, take part in our Amazon cooking class with our local chef.
Prepare traditional dishes such as maito and chontacuro, and create your own chocolate from native cacao — a delicious way to connect with the region’s culture and ingredients.

Evening:
As night falls, gather around a campfire beneath the stars and meet a traditional healer from a nearby community.
Through sacred chants and aromatic plants, you’ll be guided in a spiritual cleansing ritual — an intimate moment to release energy, find balance, and connect with the healing essence of the Amazon.

DAY 3 – Waterfalls, Movement & Night Reflections

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included

Morning:
Begin your day with a gentle yoga and meditation session that invites gratitude and grounding.
Then, join a guided walk to the Ushpayacu Waterfalls, a sacred route that winds through forest and springs. Along the way, feel the textures, humidity, and scent of life all around you.
At the end, enjoy a refreshing bath beneath the waterfall — a symbolic act of renewal. A short section of the trail includes light climbing, adding a spark of adventure to the experience.
(Moderate difficulty: 3/5, approx. 3 hours total.)

Afternoon:
Return to Kuyana for lunch and rest. Take time to journal, swim, or simply listen to the forest — letting the experience unfold naturally.

Evening:
When darkness falls, join a Guided Night Walk (moderate difficulty 2/5, approx. 1 hour) to explore the nocturnal world of the Amazon.
End the evening by the campfire, reflecting under the stars as you absorb the quiet power of the forest at night.

DAY 4 – Planting Your Legacy

Breakfast included

On your last morning, enjoy a slow breakfast and a final moment of stillness.
Before you leave, take part in Kuyana’s Reforestation Project along the Hollín River.
Plant a native tree and leave a living symbol of gratitude — your personal contribution to the regeneration of the Amazon.

You’ll depart not just rested, but transformed — carrying the peace, wisdom, and renewal that nature offers to those who truly listen.
