Itinerary

DAY 1 – Arrival & Connection with the Forest

Dinner included

Your wellness journey begins at Kuyana Amazon Lodge, where our team welcomes you with a native beverage  — a symbolic invitation to reconnect with the essence of the Amazon.
After a short introduction to your stay, take a moment to unwind and let the rhythm of the forest ease you into stillness.

Afternoon:
Start your first walk along the Guitarracocha Trail, a path inspired by a legend that tells of guitar sounds echoing through the forest at night.
The route leads to Kuyana Island, a sanctuary of calm surrounded by the Hollín River, one of the main tributaries of the Napo River. From the viewpoint, take in the river’s strength and beauty — a reminder of nature’s flow and our own inner balance.
(Moderate difficulty: 2.5/5, approx. 1.5 hours total.)

Evening:
As night falls, enjoy a farm-to-table dinner prepared with fresh, organic ingredients. Each bite celebrates Amazonian flavors while honoring the cycle of the land.
End the day with a sense of grounding and gratitude — the first step toward renewal.

DAY 2 – Yoga, Waterfalls & Ancestral Healing

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included

Morning:
Awaken to the sounds of the rainforest and begin the day with a gentle yoga and meditation session designed to harmonize body and mind. Guided by an experienced instructor, you’ll breathe deeply, stretch, and feel the forest’s energy flow through you.
Afterward, enjoy a nourishing breakfast made with ingredients from Kuyana’s garden and local communities.

Midday:
Set out on a guided walk to the Ushpayacu Waterfalls, a trail that winds through vibrant vegetation and clear water streams. Along the way, breathe in the forest air and connect with its rhythm. At the end, refresh yourself under the waterfall’s pure flow — a symbolic cleansing and an invigorating touch of adventure, as one short section requires light climbing.
(Moderate difficulty: 3/5, approx. 3 hours total.)

Afternoon:
After lunch, join our Amazon cooking class, where you’ll prepare traditional dishes such as maito and chontacuro, and create your own handmade chocolate from native cacao. A sensory encounter that connects you to the essence of Amazonian life.

Evening:
At sunset, gather around a campfire under the stars and meet a traditional healer from a nearby community. Through sacred chants, plants, and rituals, the healer will guide you in a spiritual cleansing ceremony, helping you release emotional tension and restore inner balance.
It’s a deeply personal moment — an encounter with ancestral wisdom that stays within you long after you leave.

DAY 3 – Essential Oils & Tree Planting Ceremony

Breakfast included

Start your final morning with a relaxed breakfast, followed by a guided visit to Kuyana’s Essential Oils Project. Learn about the process of extracting oils from native plants used in natural medicine and aromatherapy.
This immersive experience reveals the healing power of the forest and the harmony between science and ancestral knowledge.

Final Moment – Planting Your Legacy:
Before departure, take part in Kuyana’s Reforestation Project along the Hollín River.
Plant a tree and leave a living symbol of your journey — a gesture of gratitude and regeneration that connects you forever with the Amazon.

As the water flows and your tree takes root, you’ll carry with you the calm, clarity, and renewal that Kuyana inspires.
