DAY 1 – Arrival & Connection with the Forest
Dinner included
Your retreat begins upon arrival at Kuyana Amazon Lodge, where you are welcomed with a refreshing native drink made from local fruits — a symbolic gesture of connection with the Amazon. After a brief introduction to Kuyana’s philosophy and your itinerary, settle into your cabin and allow the sounds of the jungle to guide you into presence.
Begin with a gentle walk along the Guitarracocha Trail, a peaceful path inspired by a local legend that speaks of soft guitar-like sounds heard near the lagoon at night. The route leads to Kuyana Island, surrounded by lush forest and overlooking the Hollín River, one of the main tributaries of the Napo River. From the viewpoint, take in the river’s strength and the harmony of the landscape — an ideal place to slow down, breathe, and reconnect.
(Difficulty: 2.5/5 – approx. 1.5 hours)
As evening settles in, enjoy a thoughtfully prepared farm-to-table dinner made with organic ingredients from Kuyana’s gardens and nearby communities. Each flavor tells a story of the forest and its people — a gentle welcome to your journey of renewal.
DAY 2 – Yoga, Essential Oils & Ancestral Healing
Breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Wake to the chorus of birds and begin your day with a yoga and meditation session surrounded by rainforest serenity. Guided by our instructor, flow through gentle movements that release tension, followed by a short mindfulness practice that aligns your inner rhythm with the forest. Breakfast is served afterward, accompanied by a natural detox juice.
Continue with a guided visit to Kuyana’s Essential Oils Project, where native plants are transformed into pure oils used for natural medicine and aromatherapy. Learn about their healing properties and the ancestral wisdom behind their extraction — a living example of harmony between science and tradition. The walk concludes with time to refresh beneath a small waterfall, a quiet space for rest and renewal.
(Difficulty: 2.5/5 – approx. 2.5 hours)
After lunch, take part in a traditional Amazon cooking class with our local chef. Prepare dishes such as maito and chontacuro, followed by a hands-on chocolate-making experience using native cacao — a delicious and meaningful connection to local culture.
As night falls, gather by the campfire beneath the stars and meet a traditional healer from a nearby community. Through chants, aromatic plants, and ritual, take part in a spiritual cleansing ceremony — an intimate moment to release energy, restore balance, and connect with the healing essence of the Amazon.
DAY 3 – Waterfalls, Deep Relaxation & Night Reflections
Breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Begin the day with a gentle yoga and meditation session, focused on grounding and gratitude. Afterward, set out on a guided walk to the Ushpayacu Waterfalls, a sacred trail that winds through forest and natural springs. Along the way, feel the textures, humidity, and vibrant life of the jungle. At the end of the trail, enjoy a refreshing bath beneath the waterfall — a symbolic act of renewal. A short section includes light climbing, adding a subtle sense of adventure.
(Difficulty: 3/5 – approx. 3 hours)
Back at the lodge, enjoy lunch and time to rest. In the afternoon, surrender to deep relaxation with a 45-minute massage at the Tree House, surrounded by forest views and natural sounds. This treatment invites the body to release tension and the mind to fully slow down — a defining wellness moment of the experience.
As darkness falls, join a guided night walk through the forest. Observe frogs, insects, and nocturnal creatures as the jungle reveals a quieter, more mysterious side. The evening ends by the campfire, reflecting under the stars and absorbing the calm power of the forest.
(Difficulty: 2/5 – approx. 1 hour)
DAY 4 – Planting Your Legacy

On your final morning, enjoy a slow breakfast and a last moment of stillness surrounded by nature. Before departure, take part in Kuyana’s Reforestation Project along the Hollín River.
Plant a native tree and leave a living symbol of gratitude — your personal contribution to the regeneration of the Amazon.
You depart not only rested, but renewed, carrying with you the peace, clarity, and wisdom that nature offers to those who truly listen.
