Itinerary

DAY 1 – Arrival & Connection with the Forest

Dinner included

Your wellness journey begins upon arrival at Kuyana Amazon Lodge, where you are welcomed with a refreshing native drink — a symbolic invitation to reconnect with the essence of the Amazon. After a brief introduction to your stay, take a moment to slow down and allow the rhythm of the forest to guide you into stillness.

Begin your experience with a gentle walk along the Guitarracocha Trail, inspired by a local legend that speaks of guitar-like sounds echoing through the forest at night. The path leads to Kuyana Island, a peaceful sanctuary surrounded by the Hollín River, one of the main tributaries of the Napo River. From the viewpoint, take in the river’s strength and constant flow — a quiet reminder of balance, movement, and renewal.
(Difficulty: 2.5/5 – approx. 1.5 hours)

As night falls, enjoy a thoughtfully prepared farm-to-table dinner made with fresh, organic ingredients. Each dish celebrates Amazonian flavors while honoring the natural cycles of the land. The day closes with a sense of grounding and gratitude — the first step toward restoration.

DAY 2

Breakfast, lunch & dinner included

Wake to the sounds of the rainforest and begin the day with a gentle yoga and meditation session, designed to harmonize body and mind. Guided by an experienced instructor, you’ll stretch, breathe deeply, and connect with the surrounding forest in a calm and intentional way.

After breakfast, set out on a guided walk to the Ushpayacu Waterfalls, following a trail that winds through vibrant vegetation and natural streams. At the end of the walk, refresh beneath the waterfall’s pure flow — a symbolic cleansing that reconnects you with the elements. A short section of light climbing adds a subtle sense of adventure.
(Difficulty: 3/5 – approx. 3 hours)

Back at the lodge, enjoy lunch before taking part in a traditional Amazon cooking class, preparing dishes such as maito and chontacuro, followed by a hands-on chocolate-making experience using native cacao.

In the afternoon, surrender to deep relaxation with a 45-minute massage at the Tree House, surrounded by forest views and natural sounds. This personalized treatment invites the body to release tension and the mind to fully rest — one of the most memorable wellness moments at Kuyana.

Dinner is served as the forest settles into the evening, completing a day dedicated to balance and care.

DAY 3 – Essential Oils & Planting Your Legacy

Breakfast included

Enjoy a relaxed final breakfast before joining a guided visit to Kuyana’s Essential Oils Project. Learn about the extraction of oils from native plants used in natural medicine and aromatherapy, and discover how ancestral knowledge and modern practices coexist in harmony.

Before departure, take part in Kuyana’s Reforestation Project along the Hollín River. Plant a native tree and leave a living symbol of your journey — a gesture of gratitude and regeneration that connects you permanently with the Amazon.

As the river continues its flow and your tree takes root, you depart carrying a sense of calm, clarity, and renewal inspired by your time at Kuyana.
