DAY 1 – Arrival & Immersion in the Forest

Dinner included

Your journey begins the moment you arrive at Kuyana Amazon Lodge, where our team welcomes you with a native beverage.
After a short introduction to Kuyana’s philosophy — a place created to reconnect people with nature and purpose — settle into your cabin and let the forest embrace you.

Afternoon:
Start your exploration with a guided walk along the Guitarracocha Trail, inspired by an old legend that tells of guitar sounds echoing near its lagoon at night.
The trail leads to Kuyana Island, surrounded by lush vegetation and home to a regenerating ecosystem full of life. From the Kuyana Viewpoint, you’ll admire the powerful flow of the Hollín River, one of the main tributaries of the Napo River, and take in the vast scenery of the rainforest.
(Moderate difficulty: 2.5/5, approx. 1.5 hours total.)

Evening:
As daylight fades, join our Amazon cooking class, where you’ll learn to prepare traditional dishes like maito and chontacuro, and make your own chocolate from native cacao.
End the day with a farm-to-table dinner under the stars, surrounded by the sounds of the forest — a sensory moment that stays with you.

DAY 2 – Waterfalls, Reflection & Regeneration

Breakfast included

Wake up to the gentle melody of birds and the soft light of the morning jungle. Enjoy a wholesome breakfast made with fresh, local ingredients from Kuyana’s gardens and nearby families.

Morning Activity:
Take a guided walk to the Ushpayacu Waterfalls, one of Kuyana’s signature trails. This path winds through the heart of the forest, following streams and natural springs that shape the landscape.
The experience is about connection — feeling the humidity of the air, touching the moss-covered stones, and bathing beneath the waterfall at the end of the trail. A short section involves light climbing, adding a spark of adventure to your morning in nature.
(Moderate difficulty: 3/5, approx. 3 hours total.)

Final Activity – Plant Your Legacy:
Before you leave, take part in Kuyana’s Reforestation Project.
Plant a native tree and leave a living mark in the Amazon — a gesture that symbolizes regeneration, gratitude, and the hope that every traveler’s journey can help nature heal.

Your stay may be short, but the memories — and the tree you plant — will keep growing long after you’ve left Kuyana.
