DAY 1 – Arrival & Jungle Exploration

Dinner included

Welcome to Kuyana Amazon Lodge, your gateway to authentic adventure travel in Ecuador. Upon arrival, enjoy a refreshing jungle drink and a warm welcome from our team. After check-in, your Amazon adventure begins.

Embark on a guided hike along the Guitarracocha Trail, inspired by local Kichwa legends. Discover Kuyana Island’s rich biodiversity, learn about native plants, and reach the scenic Kuyana Viewpoint overlooking the Hollín River — a perfect spot to capture your first jungle memories. (Difficulty: moderate, 1.5 hours).

As night falls, take part in a guided night walk to explore the jungle’s nocturnal world. Discover frogs, insects, and creatures that reveal the forest’s hidden life after dark. (Difficulty: moderate, 1 hour).

End your day with a three-course dinner crafted with Amazonian ingredients and local flavors.

DAY 2 – Whitewater Rafting & Cultural Flavors

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included

Start your morning with a wholesome breakfast featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients — the perfect fuel for a day of adventure.

Experience one of the most thrilling outdoor activities in Ecuador: whitewater rafting on the Hollín River. Accompanied by our certified professional guides, you’ll navigate Class II and III rapids surrounded by breathtaking rainforest landscapes and abundant wildlife.

Halfway through the descent, we’ll stop at a river beach for a picnic-style lunch, with time to relax, swim, and enjoy the serenity of the jungle. (Difficulty: 3.5/5, approx. 6 hours total).

In the afternoon, connect with the region’s traditions during our Amazon cooking class. Learn to prepare typical dishes such as maito and chontacuro, and enjoy a hands-on chocolate-making experience using local cacao.

Conclude your day with a relaxed dinner under the stars, celebrating the flavors and spirit of the Amazon.

DAY 3 – Waterfall Circuit & Farewell

Breakfast included

Awaken to the peaceful sounds of the forest and savor your last breakfast at Kuyana.

Your morning adventure continues with a guided walk to the Ushpayacu Waterfalls, a tranquil route through lush jungle vegetation. You’ll reach a natural pool at the base of the falls — the perfect spot to enjoy a refreshing swim and energy-cleansing experience, reconnecting with nature before your departure. (Difficulty: 3/5, approx. 3 hours).

To close your journey, take part in our symbolic tree-planting activity, a simple yet meaningful gesture that helps regenerate the rainforest — leaving your personal mark in Kuyana’s conservation project.
